MEOUCH!
Meouch was the brainchild of myself and my good friend and very talented writer Paul Carroll. We sat down one day to discuss an idea I had about a cute cat who was also a world-renowned assassin. We talked about how we could best do this book, and after a few trial runs in zine form, we received a massive response to the character. People loved Frankie the Cat.
(One fan even going as far as to have a concept sketch of Frankie tattooed on his arm - High Praise!)
So with the support of a fanbase, myself and Paul decided to stop doing short stories and put together a three-book arc for the character, Issue one was launched at Dublin Comic Con and was met with an unbelievable response. Meouch was an instant hit, and received fantastic reviews.
I have included links to these reviews below.
Monkeys Fighting Robots – ‘packs the high-brow humor from the cartoons of yesteryear and adds a heaping scoop of blood and guns’ –
The Comic Book Yeti – ‘playfully walks the line between noir mystery and fun story with a talking cat… an absolute pleasure to read’ –
Geek Ireland – ‘colourful, vibrant, and a joy to read’ – https://geekireland.com/meouch-1-review/
Irish Comic News – ‘plenty of action and laughs from the opening’ – http://www.irishcomicnews.dreamhosters.com/2019/03/08/review-meouch-1/
